Jocque - Round 1

No, nothing strange going on here...  you believe that I remembered to take the family photo before playing the Jocque family, right?




Marcel - Family/Fortune
Sophia - Popularity/Knowledge
Violet - Popularity/Family



Violet really enjoys playing soccer, and loves Fitness as her favorite hobby.



She wants to be Prestidigitator when she grows up.



Marcel also really enjoys playing soccer, and his one true hobby is Nature.



He wants to be Head of the SCIA.  He'll be in competition with both Victor and Elizabeth Aspir for that job.



Sophia loves to work out, and her one true hobby is Music and Dance.



She wants to be the Hand of Poseidon.



Marcel reached the peak of fitness just from playing soccer.



He and Violet really enjoy punching each other for fun.



Marcel wanted a puppy, so he adopted this one.  Her name is Moopsey.



Sophia wanted to get fit, and she was surprised that she was able to do it so quickly.



Violet went down to Gustav's Grocery because she wanted to buy a cellphone and to hopefully find someone to toss around a football with.  She tried to discuss sports with one of the scantily clad women, but Sadie Bruenig apparently has no interest in that sort of thing.  What a surprise.  Women going shirtless is a disturbing new fashion trend in Desiderata Valley.  Sure, in theory it's a shirt, but come on - really?



Violet wanted a first kiss, so she looked in the crystal ball and found Makoto Adams to be quite appealing.



Despite their mutual attraction, they really had a lot of trouble having a civil conversation.  So, there was no first kiss that night.



Sophia and Marcel both thought that starting their day with a drink was a great idea - the breakfast of champions.



And then they enjoyed a nutritious second breakfast of pop-tarts. 



Violet got a job after school as a Playground Monitor.  She thought she would distract the bullies with orange wedges.



But she should have tried threatening them, or maybe pop-tarts instead.



She's trying to have a good attitude, even though she got fired from her job.  Despite her stoicism, she had a good cry or two that afternoon.



To cheer herself up, she invited over Makoto for a date, and finally got her first kiss.



Sophia knows her being a great cook is one of Marcel's turn-ons, but she's having trouble making macaroni without starting a fire.  Since his other turn-on is plantsimism,  she's fairly hopeless.



Cooking may not be her thing, but she can gain fitness enthusiasm in her sleep.



Only she hasn't been feeling that great lately.



She discovered she was pregnant.  Since both she and Marcel wanted to have a baby, this was welcome news.



Marcel was able to get a job in the Intelligence field right away, and was promoted from Gumshoe to Private Eye.



Violet took a job in Dance as an Aerobics Instructor, and got promoted to Backup Dancer.



Violet threw a party, but she looks a little embarrassed that her mother was serving the guests dinner instead of party food.



It didn't really matter because before they were able to eat, the Officer Mitch Ternynck came and put a stop to the wild, spaghetti party.



That night, Violet had sweet dreams about kissing Makoto.



Despite only one bolt of attraction, they seem to do well as a couple.  Marcel was thrilled that they were going to have another baby.



Violet was not too thrilled to have her first major breakout.



She consoled herself with a new hairstyle.



Speaking of hairstyles, Violet brought home a friend name Connor from school one day.  He really can't dance.



And she thinks he's totally unattractive.  So why did she invite him over?



Marcel was promoted again - this time to Crime Scene Investigator. 



Marcel wanted a caged pet, so he got a gecko that he named Geico.



Marcel is always wanting to work out, even though he doesn't look like he's having that much fun.  He knows Sophia finds fitness and athleticism to be turn-ons, so he's trying.



One day Elizabeth Aspir walked by, and Sophia decided to greet her.  It seemed like they might have at least one major thing in common.



Moopsy grew from a puppy into a kangaroo.  Wow.  I didn't see that coming.



But she is kinda cute anyway.



Sophia finally gave birth to a baby girl they named Cecilia.



I like how sims are able to instantly get back into their pre-pregnancy clothes.



And Cecilia is really cute.



Marcel challenged Sophia to a game of pool and bet her §25 that he could beat her.  It was not going well for him.



Meanwhile, Violet was sneaking out with her friend Trevor, hoping that her parents wouldn't look out the windows to see her leaving.



Sophia quite easily won the game.



Poor Marcel. 



Uh-oh, it looks like Violet's got some explaining to do.



I don't envy her right now.



It's hard to be a responsible parent when your kid is stupid and sneaks out.



Marcel gave Violet a firm lecture.  His words are falling on deaf ears, as she is still wanting to sneak out with her friend Trevor at the very next opportunity.



I think Marcel really enjoys being a dad most of the time.  I think he's glad Cecelia won't be sneaking out anytime soon. 



He's also a good pet owner, despite his disappointment in adopting a kangaroo.



Sophie saluted a stray she wolf named Ambrosia.  She really prefers wolves over dogs.  Anytime a wolf is around, she wants to play with it or hear it howl.



Marcel was promoted to Surveillance Operator.  He's happy and loves his job, but between the demands of work and family, he's really tired.



Violet needed more creativity for a promotion, so I got a synthesizer for her in hopes that she'd use it autonomously.  Unless she has the want to skill or a want for a promotion, she'll have to do it on her own.



Marcel wanted to hustle pool again, so he decided to try hustling Luis Aspir.  I guess he thought the old guy wouldn't know that much about pool.



Despite his enthusiasm for hustling pool, he proved once again that he's terrible at it..



It was time for little Cecelia to have a birthday.



And she was such a scary-looking toddler that Marcel suffered from hysterical blindness for a few hours afterward.



Violet discovered that tossing her baby sister was not a good idea.



Despite Cecelia's looks, she has a very sweet Virgo personality: 10-3-2-3-10.



Who needs toys when you can play with dog food?



Violet took over for the lead dancer and did well.



She was offered a promotion to SimJazzer Instructor, even though she didn't have the creativity required yet.



Between good grades, and her promotion, she's an overachiever.  It's too bad Marcel and Sophia no longer had that want.



Since the trash compactor was broken and Marcel needed mechanical points for a promotion, it seemed logical that he should be the one to fix it.



Poor Marcel - sorry about that.



He remained electrified after that.



I have to wonder what the carpool driver thought.  I also wonder how long it will last, as he is still like this.



As I leave the Jocque family, Sophia is expecting again.  Marcel wanted another baby, but Sophia also looks happy about it.

It was pretty fun to play the Jocque family.  Marcel and Sophia were fairly easy to keep happy.  Violet had a lot more popularity wants like "Be Best Friends with" that took a little longer.  Again, I played directed entirely by their wants except for the basic needs stuff.  Violet is 5 days from adult and doesn't currently want to go to University, so I'm not sure if she will decide to go or not.
